This aim of this section is to gather together links relevant toproject managers on project management associations around the world.

There are some excellent reasons for joining one or both the PMI and AIPM.  The both offer quality journals and/or newsletters (which are now available online).  They can be helpful to:

  • Keep you up-to-date on issues and developments. If you are interviewing, this can be invaluable information!
  • Let you out about companies--or individuals--with whom you would like to work.
  • Offer information about upcoming conferences and professional development opportunities (at reduced rates).
  • Provide you an opportunity to be part of a professional community.

If you are not a member and are questioning whether the fees provide value for money, I suggest you attend a couple of their chapter/branch meetings.   They are often free or include a modest fee.
